Do Not Sell My Data

Arden Main, operated by Ten Thirteen LLC, is committed to giving customers meaningful control over how their personal information is used. Under California's Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), along with similar consumer privacy laws in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and a growing number of other states, you have the right to tell us not to sell or share your personal information. This page explains what those terms mean in the context of our store, when they may apply to your data, and exactly how you can exercise your right to opt out.

1. Who This Policy Applies To

This policy applies to residents of California and residents of any other U.S. state whose law grants consumers a right to opt out of the sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising use of their personal information. If you don't live in one of those states, you may still submit a request under this page and we'll treat it the same way  we don't check ZIP codes at the door.

2. What "Sale" and "Sharing" Mean

Under California law and the similar statutes in other states, the words "sell" and "share" are considerably broader than what most people ordinarily assume. A "sale" of personal information doesn't require an exchange of cash the transfer of your data to a third party in return for any form of value, including advertising credits or analytics services, can qualify. "Sharing" refers specifically to disclosures of personal information for the purpose of cross-context behavioral advertising, which is the practice of building an advertising profile about you based on your activity across sites, apps, and services that don't belong to the business showing you the ad. Because Arden Main uses common e-commerce tools like advertising pixels, retargeting technologies, and analytics platforms, some of the data flows connected to our site may fall within these definitions even though we don't sell customer lists in the traditional sense.

3. Categories of Personal Information Involved

The categories of personal information that may be treated as sold or shared through our store include identifiers such as device IDs, cookie identifiers, IP addresses, and email addresses; commercial information such as products viewed and past purchases; internet or other network activity such as browsing behavior on our store and interactions with our advertisements; approximate geolocation derived from IP addresses; and inferences drawn from any of the above that reflect predicted preferences or shopping interests. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone we believe to be under the age of sixteen.

4. Categories of Recipients

When personal information is sold or shared, the recipients generally fall into three groups. The first is advertising and marketing partners, such as social media advertising platforms and search-engine advertising networks, who help us reach potential customers and retarget people who have visited our site. The second is analytics providers, who help us understand how our store is performing and where visitors are running into friction. The third is technology vendors that support related functions like measurement, attribution, and audience insights. We do not sell or share personal information with data brokers who repackage and resell it to unrelated third parties.

5. Your Right to Opt Out

You have the right to direct Arden Main to stop selling or sharing your personal information at any time, and to do so without providing a reason. Once your request is honored, we will not sell or share your personal information going forward unless you later authorize us to do so again. Please keep in mind that opting out is not the same as opting out of all data collection we may still collect and process the information we need to operate the store, complete your orders, fulfill legal obligations, prevent fraud, and deliver the services you've specifically asked for.

6. How to Submit an Opt Out Request

The most direct way to submit an opt-out request is by email to support@ardenmain.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information." In the body of the email, please include the address associated with any account or order you have with us, along with any other information that will help us match the request to your data an order number, for example. You can also send the same request by mail to Ten Thirteen LLC, Imperial, Missouri, United States, or by calling our support line at 314-696-0577 during business hours. If our website displays a "Your Privacy Choices" or "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer, clicking that link will also register your opt-out for the browser and device you're using.

7. Authorized Agents

You may designate someone else an "authorized agent" to submit an opt-out request on your behalf. If you do, we will ask for written proof that you've given them permission to act for you, and we may separately contact you to confirm the request before we act on it. This step protects you from unauthorized parties trying to interfere with your account or your privacy choices.

8. Verifying Your Request

To make sure we act on your opt out rather than on a request from someone impersonating you, we may take reasonable steps to verify that the request actually comes from you or your agent. Typically this means matching the information you provide against details already associated with your account or order history. Anything you send us during verification will only be used for that purpose and will not be repurposed for marketing or any other unrelated activity.

9. Sensitive Personal Information

Certain categories of data such as government-issued identifiers, precise geolocation, financial account details, health information, or information that reveals race, religion, or immigration status are treated as "sensitive personal information" under California's privacy law and are subject to additional protections. Arden Main does not use sensitive personal information for purposes beyond what is reasonably necessary to run the store, complete your transactions, and comply with the law. Because we don't use sensitive personal information to build advertising profiles or draw secondary inferences about you, there is no separate opt-out to submit for this category in our case, but you retain the right to ask us to confirm that in writing.

10. Rights of Minors

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under sixteen years of age without the affirmative authorization required by law that is, opt-in consent from the consumer if they are between thirteen and fifteen, and consent from a parent or guardian if the consumer is under thirteen. If you believe your child under sixteen has provided personal information to us and it has been included in any sale or share, contact us immediately and we will remove it from those data flows.

11. Non Discrimination

Exercising your right to opt out will not cost you anything, and it will not change the quality of the products or service you receive from Arden Main. We will not deny you access to the store, charge you a different price, provide you a lower-quality version of any service, or take any other retaliatory action because you asked us to stop selling or sharing your personal information. In some cases, opting out may affect features that specifically rely on advertising or analytics partners personalized product recommendations, for instance but that is a functional consequence of the opt-out itself, not a penalty imposed by us.

12. Global Privacy Control Signal

If your browser or a browser extension transmits a Global Privacy Control ("GPC") signal or an equivalent opt-out preference signal, we will treat that signal as a valid opt-out request for the browser and device it comes from, in line with California's rules. You do not need to send a separate written request in that case, though you are welcome to do so if you'd like an on-file confirmation.

13. Response Timeline

Once we receive a valid opt-out request, we aim to act on it as quickly as possible, and in every case within fifteen business days at the outside comfortably ahead of the timelines required by law. We will confirm the outcome by the same channel you used to send the request, and we will let you know if we have been unable to verify it or need additional information from you.
